Redbud Montessori is a five day a week program. Children are eligible for enrollment at two years nine months and potty-trained through six years old (kindergarten). Due to budgetary reasons, all new families are offered full-time enrollment. Full-time enrollment is for the hours of 7:30 a.m.-6:00 p.m. Children do not have to stay at school for all of this time frame if it is not your desire. The following years at Redbud you will have the option to enroll your child part-time.
There are seven weeks during the year when there is not child care at Redbud. One week at the end of the school year in June, two weeks before school starts, one week at Thanksgiving, two weeks for Winter Break and one week for Spring Break. Redbud is also closed on most days designated as school holidays by the Davis Joint Unified School District.
Parent(s) will not be charged tuition during the breaks. However, because the total tuition contract is divided into ten equal payments, the monthly amount of tuition remains constant throughout the school year. Tuition is due and payable on the 1st of each month.
Late Pick-up Policy...
...after 6:00 pm
Our staff should be able to leave immediately at 6:00 p.m. Any Redbud employee who must stay after 6:00 p.m. with a child must be personally reimbursed at the time the child is picked up, at the rate of $20.00 per child for each 15 minutes or portion thereof.
...at other times
Parents who have contracted to pick up their child at 12:30, 2:30, or 3:00 p.m. will be allowed a ten minute grace period, as long as this is not a regular occurrence. If you arrive more than 10 minutes late, there will be a late fee of $10.00 for each 15 minutes or portion thereof, payable to Redbud. Parents will be billed for late fees. These late fees are designed to limit late pick-ups to real and infrequent emergencies. Please call the school whenever possible to let us know if you will be late. Consistent lateness is stressful for the child and inconsiderate to the staff.
There is a $25.00 non-refundable waiting list fee per child, per year (renewable each January 15), to be on the waiting list. This fee is not applicable toward other fees and does not guarantee placement in the school.
A one-time application fee of $75.00 per child is due upon offer of enrollment into Redbud's summer or academic year program. Drop-in fees are $10.00 per hour for currently enrolled children.
At Redbud Montessori, we want to ensure a healthy environment for all of our students. It is important to know when your child is too sick to attend school. Please use this reference guide to help you determine whether your child should stay home.
