We will explore Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune and Pluto; the largest to the dwarf planet in our solar system.

The Sun   Week 3, 7/3 - 7/7
The Sun is a huge, glowing ball at the center of our solar system. The sun provides light, heat, and other energy to Earth.

Moon and Stars    Week 4, 7/10 - 7/14
What kind of animals can we find in the night sky? What do moon rocks look like?

Life in Space    Week 5, 7/17 - 7/21
The opportunity to visit space is an exciting adventure, but it is also quite a challenge for astronauts. There is an enormous amount of preparation for every space mission.

Space Transportation    Week 6, 7/24 - 7/28
Two of the most important missions for rockets and space shuttles are to carry satellites and other equipment into space and repair them there if necessary and to bring supplies to astronauts to allow them to conduct space experiments.

The Universe    Week 7, 7/31 - 8/4
What is the Hubble Space Telescope? We will explore the universe through Hubble's eye, and witness the most spectacular and mysterious depths of the cosmos.

Redbud's summer program is not run as a Montessori classroom, but the guiding principles of Maria Montessori's theories are in place. Encouragement in respect of yourself, others and the environment is supported as the daily guidelines we follow during the academic year are implemented.

With all of our Montessori materials put away for the summer, Redbud kids will enjoy water play and gooey art projects.
